Mission Statement: To network, encourage and disseminate information helpful to the school library media community in Wyoming.
Objectives:
- To improve the quality of learning in both formal and informal settings
- To support school library media personnel
- in developing standards that promote effective use of the school library media center
- by sharing and disseminating information, techniques, and standards
- by informing state leadership of the importance of school libraries to the educational mission
- by establishing and maintaining channels of communications between the organization, the profession and the public
- by stimulating use of communication technologies throughout Wyoming
- in assisting administrators, managers, and others responsible for planning communication technologies and materials in schools and libraries
- by encouraging research on a statewide basis to determine current "best practices"
- in collaborating with the State Department of Education and State Government in the formation of policies, standards, and practices in educational communications and technologies
- in maintaining contact with agencies who are interested in educational communication and technology as well as establishing cooperation with the educational communications industry
- Goals:
To promote the use of information more efficiently and effectively - To encourage our local communities to support our endeavours within the schools as well as the State to enhance academic achievement for our students
Membership Fees: $5.00 per fiscal year

- Networking with other school librarians across the state regarding issues important to you and your library media center.
- Staying informed of current practices, changes in organization bylaws, and many other state & national library media issues.
- Taking advantage of educational opportunities and library media programming the interest group offers.
- Supporting certified school library professionals, paraprofessionals, and support staff.
- Working toward a common goal of implementing Information Power guidelines and the National Information Literacy Standards
- Helping patrons become information literate.
